HI I KNIT THIS BYE | Friendly Fair Isle Hat

That's not my juice and that's not a real bookshelf I tricked all of you!!!! However, the hat is 100% genuine and I knit it up in less than 24 hours.

That says more about the pattern than it does about my knitting skills, I promise. It's Purl Soho's Friendly Fair Isle Hat, knit up using two skeins their Super Soft Merino. Fair Isle, especially in this pattern, is a super-quick way to make what you've knit seem more impressive than it actually is.

Normally, this is not my color palette, but over the past few months I've slowly transition away from neutral earth colors into black. Just black. Black sweaters, black shoes, black hats. But with a pop of color, because I'm fun and flirty.

And of course, no good hat is complete without a pom, especially this one. I had to get crafty since I misplaced my large PomPom Maker somewhere in my apartment, instead using two toilet paper rolls a la this tutorial. That resulted in this mammoth pom which makes the hat a little top-heavy so I have to secure it with my headphones, but that's the price you gotta pay if you want to be as fashion-forward and chic as I am.
